Cairo University continues its preparations for the new academic year which is to begin on September 24, 2016. The university preparations include student enrollment, finishing new student medical examinations procedures, student distribution on sections and university IDs extraction. Moreover, the university finishes all maintenance work in hostels, laboratories, workshops, auditoriums, lectures halls and libraries, as well as announcing study schedules before the beginning of the new academic year.
Cairo University President Gaber Nassar urged all the faculties to prepare effective plans for student activities to help students developing their practical, life and leadership skills.
Cairo University Council is scheduled to hold a meeting on Saturday, September 24, 2016, to determine all the details relevant to the educational process and student activity in the new academic year.
Cairo University Vice-President for Education and Students Affairs Mohamed Osman El-Khosht said that ،،Education and Students Affairs Council is to hold a meeting on September 18, 2016, to discuss all the plans related to the educational process and students activities. Students transfers, hostels preparations and students social care by the university Social Solidarity Fund are going to be discussed during the meeting. ,, He pointed out that ،،a celebration is going to be organized by the university on September 26, 2016, at the campus yard to receive previously enrolled and new students and academic staff members attending on the occasion of the new academic year. The celebration includes sport and artistic shows in participation with students, and the introduction of various student activities, their places and how to apply to new students.,,
Cairo University Vice-President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Said Daw said that ،،Community Service and Environmental Development Sector is going to organize ،،Awareness Week,, on September 18, 2016, to receive the university new students in the academic year 2016/ 2017. The awareness week activities are held over four days at Cairo University Grand Celebration Hall and playgrounds. ,, He pointed out that ،،Awareness Week,, is a new tradition held for the first time to introduce new students to their university, its history, facilities, social and service projects and important places by a group of activities, documentary films and student direct meeting with professors. ,,
