Cairo University President Gaber Nassar announces the accreditation of Faculty of Dar Al-Ulum, Cairo University, by National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. The faculty meets all the academic standards of quality requirements associated with institutional ability and educational effectivity according to the measurements of the authority and the reports of revisers and experts. The numbers of faculties got quality assurance and accreditation amounts to 16 faculties. Cairo University is the highest among Egyptian universities regarding the rates of getting quality assurance.
Nassar added that ،،Faculty of Dar Al-Ulum Cairo University is one of the faculties with large numbers of students. The accreditation, therefore, is a great achievement.,, Nassar pointed out that ،،The university works on providing resources and potentials necessary for developing educational and research process and helping all faculties through Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation at Cairo University. This center prepares the resume report to enable faculties to receive field visits of exterior evaluation.,,
Faculty of Dar Al-Ulum Dean Alaa Raafat makes it clear that ،،The faculty is accredited on June 19, 2017, after receiving the visits of revisers and experts from National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education during March 2017.,, The dean pointed out that ،،Faculty of Dar Al-Ulum Cairo University is the first faculty in Dar Al-Ulum Sector at the level of Egypt to be accredited in spite of its many students.,,
Raafat added that ،،The Faculty witnesses many workshops among its professors to meet the measurements of the authority. It also experiences interior evaluation and resume preparation by the help of Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation to receive field visits of experts and revisers. This takes place after months of serious work of development and upgrading at the faculty in all aspects of educational, research and administrative process.,,
The policies of accreditation and quality adopted by National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education focus on institutional ability and educational effectivity. Institutional ability includes strategic planning, administrative apparatus, organizational structure, financial resources and community services. Educational effectivity involves curriculum, study syllabuses, postgraduate and scientific research level.
The measurements are conducted on two stages. The first stage includes interior revision for all the elements of research and administrative system. The second one involves performance evaluation according to measurements standards of higher education.
