Cairo University Awards in Scientific Research for 2016 Won by 30 Researchers

 Cairo University announces the names of university awards winners for 2016 including award of excellence, university award of merit, university award for scientific excellence and encouragement award.


Awards of Excellence are 5 awards of EGP 200, 000 for each. Award of Excellence is won by Professor of Faculty of Arts Wafaa Kamel Fayed in human sciences, and Professor of Faculty of Mass Communication Awatef Abdel-Rahman in social sciences. It is also won by Professor of Faculty of Engineering Ahmed Mohamed Soliman in engineering sciences shared with Professor of Engineering Saad Mogahed Al-Raghy, and Professor of National Institute of Laser Enhanced Sciences Mohamed Abdel-Hareth in interdisciplinary, multi-disciplined and future sciences. Professor of Faculty of Science Mohamed Abdel-Gawad Abdel-Salam Zayed wins award of excellence in advanced technology. Awards of basic, medical and pharmacological sciences are hidden.  


Cairo University Awards of Merit are 7 awards of EGP 100, 000 for each. Award of Merit is won by Professor of Arts Fadya Mohamed Zaky in human and education sciences, Professor of Archaeology Mona Fouad Ali Abdel-Ghani in social sciences, and Professor of Science Ahmed Helmy Mahmoud Ibrahim in basic sciences. It is also won by Professor of Engineering Serag-Eldin El-Sayed Habib in engineering sciences, Professor of Faculty of Agriculture Gamal Sayed Ali El-Barouty in interdisciplinary, multi-disciplined and future sciences, and Professor of Faculty of Agriculture Ahmed Mahmoud Mustafa Abou El-Enein shared with Professor of Faculty of Science Fakiha Mohamed El-Taeyeb in advanced technology. Award of Merit for medical and pharmacological sciences is hidden.


Cairo University Awards of Scientific Excellence are 8 awards of EGP 50, 000 for each. Award of Scientific Excellence is won by Professor of Faculty of Archaeology Sayed Mohamed Sayed Hemeda in human and education sciences, Professor of Archaeology Hala Afifi Mahmoud Afifi in social sciences, and Professor of Faculty of Science Ismail Abdel-Shafei Abdel-Hamid in basic science. It is also won by Professor of Medicine Maysa El-Said Hasan El-Razky shared with Professor of Medicine Hazem Baioumy El-Sebaei in medical and pharmacological sciences, and Professor of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Alaa Eldin Abdel-Moaty Mohamed Eissa wins the award in agricultural sciences. Professor of Faculty of Science Salama Abou El-Yazeed Aouf wins the award in interdisciplinary, multi-disciplined and future sciences, Professor of Engineering Youssef Fawzy wins the award in advanced technology, and Professor of Engineering Ahmed Gomaa Radwan wins the award in engineering sciences.


Cairo University Awards of Encouragement are 6 awards of EGP 30, 000 for each. Award of Encouragement is won by Professor of Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences Marwa Mohamed Shebl Beltagy in human and education sciences, and Professor of Science Sayed Youssef Sayed Nagy shared with Professor of Science Ahmed Fathy Darwish Ramadan in chemical sciences. It is also won by Professor of Faculty of Science Rouaida Abdel-Hakim Abdel-Gaber in biological sciences, and Professor of Faculty of Engineering Ahmed Ibrahim Abdel-Rahman Ahmed in engineering sciences. Professor of Faculty of Medicine Zainab Mohamed El-Moghazy wins the award shared with Professor of Faculty of Medicine Aaesha Mahmoud Abdel-Aziz Al-Sharkawy, and Professor of Faculty of Pharmacy Tamer Mohamed Essam wins the award in medical and pharmacological sciences. Award for agricultural sciences is hidden.
