Cairo University President Mohamed Osman Elkhosht announces that ،،Cairo University hostels which accommodate 15, 000 students will be ready at full capacity for receiving previously and newly enrolled students in the new academic year 2017/2018.,, All work of maintenance and preparations of buildings, restaurants and facilities are finished sufficiently before housing. Sheikh Zayed Hostel accommodates 500 students.
Cairo University President urges concern with the university substructure and means of accommodation and subsistence for expatriate students in hostels. He also urges providing services and activities that make hostels effective living accommodations for students despite the increase in accommodation and subsistence cost for students in hostels.
Elkhosht added that ،،Applying health requirements on all employees at kitchens and restaurant in hostels and cooking utensils will be followed up. Strict measures will be taken regarding receiving imported foods, their quality, and their compliance with health standards.,, He pointed out that ،،There is bidding for food imports which many experienced bodies working in this field applied for. Differentiation between them will be based on the quality of imported foods, health requirements and most affordable prices.,, He added that ،،There is a technical and financial committee for differentiation and attribution according to specific conditions after examining application requests.,,
Cairo University President urges providing sound environmental specifications at hostels, maintaining the aesthetic form of its streets and buildings, and housing entrant students within the first week of study in the new academic year according to housing rules and providing places to students with special needs and expatriates.
