Cairo University President Mohamed Othman Elkhosht announces that second term exams progress report, submitted by faculty deans to Cairo University President, has not monitor any negative phenomena regarding exam progress or any hindrances at halls in general.
Elkhosht pointed out that second term exams which started at faculties before two weeks are progressing according to a disciplined schedule after the university adopted all the arrangements of securing exams work. Exams work includes providing administrative security personnel for securing exams halls, printing exam papers on the same day, avoiding circulating them via devices connected to internet to keep their secrecy, providing special halls for students with special needs, and preventing entrance with mobile phones to exams hall. No violations to these rules have occurred or affected exams work until now.
Cairo University President illustrated that emergency and exam follow-up committee has been formed at every faculty headed by faculty dean, faculty vice-dean for education and students, chair departments or subject professor. The committee has the authority to deal with problems during exams and make decision suitable to them. Thirty three individual cheating cases are monitored since the beginning of exams until Thursday, May 17, 2018, in a number of faculties including 18 cases at Faculty of Law, 5 cases at Faculty of Dar El-Ulum, 4 cases at Faculty of Arts, and 3 cases at Faculty of Archaeology. Cheating cases are investigated on time.
