Council reviewed the University of Cairo in a meeting chaired by Dr .. The Council reviewed  submission d. Heba Nassar, Vice President of University affairs, community service and development environment on the activities of a week of environmental awareness VII of the University in 2012, which intends to Community Service and Environmental Development, the University organized at the faculties of the University with the participation of faculty members and students through seminars, workshops and various activities in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of State for Environmental Affairs during the month of April next year under the title: green tourism, and aims to raise public awareness of the heritage of natural tourism through the optimal use of resources and the preservation of biodiversity, especially in the areas of Red Sea and the deserts, as well as cooperation and coordination between institutions working in the field of tourism development and environmental monitoring and assessment environmental impacts associated with the various tourism activities. Council approved the University of Cairo to participate in the international initiative of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development for the assessment of learning outcomes in higher education (Ohillo), an initiative designed to improve the quality of the educational process through the creation of a mechanism and tools for measuring transparent by which to measure the acquisition of higher education graduates of the outputs of education which qualifies them to the requirements of the labor market. A d. Izz al-Din Abu State Vice President of Cairo University for Education and Student Affairs and the General Coordinator of the University in the project, the initiative is in its first phase of testing experimental tools for measuring the stomach in the paths general skills and a specialized economy and civil engineering to assess the factors affecting student achievement and characteristics of teaching and learning process to reach the best conditions for the success of the educational process.

Council approved the University of Cairo, a memorandum of understanding between the university and the European Institute in France in the fields of scientific research, education and training. It also approved a Memorandum of Understanding between the College of Engineering and the Institute of Space and German Memorandum of Understanding between the National Institute of Oncology and the European School of Oncology,in Italy.
