The Minister of Environment in Cairo University: National Project for Handling Rubbish Problem in Egypt through Youth Participation

Sustainable Development Conference, organized by Cairo University in cooperation with The United Nations Development Programs in Egypt, emphasized the importance of achieving environment criteria to attract investors.


Dr.\ Khaled Fahmy, Minister of Environment, uncovered a national program to be carried out by Ministry of Environment for handling rubbish problem in Egypt through participation of private sector, civil community, and youth. He pointed out that big environment problems of Egypt are inseparable from main problems that the Egyptian society suffers from.  He mentioned in the conference that solving environment problems will provide job opportunities for youth.
