Cairo University's Council Declares Admitting 28,330 Students the Coming Academic Year


Cairo University's Council, headed by Dr. Hossam Kamel, President of Cairo University, has stated numbers of students, holders of thanaweya amma (GSC) or other equivalent certificates, to be admitted to Cairo University's faculties in the coming academic year (2013 – 2014).


Suggested numbers of admitted students, at the level of faculties of the university, have reached about 28,330 students. Cairo University's Council has approved admitting 4,700 students to Faculty of Arts, 5030 students to Faculty of Law, 9900 students to Faculty of Commerce, 500 students to Faculty of Economics and Political Science, 400 students to Faculty of Mass Communication, 610 students to Faculty of Archaeology, 1600 students to Faculty of Dar El-Ulum, 1600 students to Faculty of Kindergarten, 190 students to Faculty of Specific Education, 600 students to Faculty of Science, 360 students to Faculty of Agriculture, 250 students to Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, 500 students to Faculty of Medicine, 120 students to Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, 550 students to Faculty of  Pharmacy, 340 students to Faculty of Nursing, 100 students to Faculty of Physiotherapy, 580 students to Faculty of Engineering, 100 students to Faculty of Urban and Regional Planning, 150 students to Faculty of Computers and Information, 120 students to Technical Nursing Institute, and 30 students to National Cancer Institute. Noteworthy, number of enrolled students this year (2012 – 2013) has reached 40, 340 students.
