Accompanied by Dr.\ Mohamed Sameh Omar, Egypt’s Ambassador at UNESCO and Dr.\ Mohamed Hamza, Dean of Faculty of Archaeology, Dr.\ Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, has inspected the new location of Faculty of Archaeology at the university land at Bein El-Sarayat which Cairo University has obtained due to decree no. 921of the university president year 2014, concerning maintenance, restoration and rehabilitation of the historical building at the university land at Bein El-Sarayat so as to become a museum which is subordinate to the faculty where fossils of the faculty are exhibited throughout 100 years, prehistory monuments, monuments of Cairo University, revival of traditional crafts and linking them to touristic marketing of Giza pyramids and Sakkara.
Dr.\ Mohamed Hamza, Dean of Faculty of Archaeology, said that the faculty will conduct maintenance and restoration of the historical building at Bein El-Sarayat as well as rehabilitating it in order to become a new museum for the faculty and a cultural center for Cairo University which covers an area of 400 m2 containing three flours, costing 70, 000000 EGP. He also pointed out that the ambassador Mohamed Sameh Omar praised the project and recommended the necessity of financial and artistic contribution from the side of authorities and organizations which are interested in cultural development including UNESCO organization. Cairo University will address Belgian ambassador at Cairo as Belgium has a great role in establishing the historical building on that land.
