Faculty of Engineering Gets International Accreditation in Field of Architecture

 In the first achievement of its type at the level of the departments of Faculty of Engineering in the governmental Egyptian Universities, Dr.\ Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, declared that Architectural Engineering Department (with two terms system) at Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, has got a full unconditional accreditation from Union of International Architects UIA, which is subordinate to UNESCO, for three years starting from October 2014 to the end of October 2017. Vice Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, has declared to Education and Students Affairs that the international accreditation of Architectural Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, has came according to criteria of the Union of International Architects and the reconnaissance visits which he made to the faculty and union experts report which included a group of positive feedback which stressed the distinctiveness of the study program, the efficiency of the educational effectiveness, the enthusiasm of the students and the teaching staff of staff members of the faculty and teaching assistants and the efficiency of the administrative system for the department, as well as the criteria of both number of staff members in proportion to students, the continuous assessment of the educational process and supporters of the graduates in work. The report of Union of International Architects has referred to the efficiency of those who are responsible for managing Faculty of Engineering, managing Architectural Engineering Department, and the team spirit which they work with.
