Cairo University organizes activity on resisting harassment and violence against women inside each faculty and institute of the university on March 16, 2015, corresponding to The Egyptian Woman Day, at 12 p.m.
The activity includes some introductory seminars of resisting harassment phenomenon inside the university. These seminars also distribute tasks among students of the university to facilitate their participation in the activity. It also includes some separate artistic sections and exhibitions inside each faculty or institute. Films and seminars on harassment and violence against women will also be displayed through those seminars.
On the fringe of the activity, Faculty of Mass Communication makes a workshop that tackles the method of covering the events of harassment by students in case of occurrence, and a theatrical interactive show will also be made at the faculty yard.
Finally, a concluding seminar has been organized at Faculty of Commerce from 4 to 6 p.m., during which Dr.\ Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, has distributed certificates of merit among the volunteering students. A play, entitled “After Night”, will also be displayed at 6 p.m., at Grand Celebration Hall.
