Prof. Dr. Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, has met Yassin Ahmed El-Shokeiry, an Egyptian businessman, who donated 1000, 250 EGPs for the interest of Cairo University to be distributed among New National Cancer Institute, El-Sheikh Zayed, account no. (500500), National Cancer Institute, account no. (700700), Kasr Al-Aini Emergency Hospital (185), Endemic Diseases Institute and Hospital, affiliated to Cairo University at Al-Haram, Educational Services Fund, Faculty of Science Laboratories Development plan, at rate of 250, 000 EGPs for each. The cheques issued by the Egyptian businessman have been delivered to the bodies to which he donated, this was witnessed by Deans of National Cancer Institute and Faculty of Science, and the General Secretary of Cairo University. Nassar expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian businessman in the name of Cairo University for his donation to the university.
Cairo University said that National Cancer Institute receives new cases annually, and there is still hope in establishing New National Cancer Institute (500500) for which the university allocated 34 acres at El-Sheikh Zayed to meet needs and complete many therapeutic and research services for cancer patients in Egypt. The designs of the new institute and hospital are finished to become the most modern hospital for diagnosing and treating tumors in the Middle East, which is based on society and citizens efforts. Nassar said that the first stage of Endemic Diseases Institute at Al-Haram is about to be finished. It includes operating outpatient clinics to become the first specialized institute and hospital in epidemic and endemic diseases at Egypt.
