Cairo University Initiates the Study Fees E-Collection System

Prof. Dr. Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, declared that Cairo University started to implement the study fees e-collection system through the Egyptian banks. This will be conducted through prepaid cards or cash payment through bank or available different electronic payment means. This system has been implemented with the National Bank of Egypt, where students pay study fees via the available electronic means of the bank and its branches anywhere.

The implementation of the study fees e-collection system has started at Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences where the bank directed to orient students to the available electronic payment means. The system will be implemented at the rest of university faculties consecutively.

Yousry Ibrahim, Cairo University General Trustee, has pointed out that this service is being activated, at the oncoming phase, via mobile phones. This will lead to saving the time of students, tightening controls on fees collection, facilitating the process of payment compared to the traditional methods in terms of dealing with receipts and papers. The e-collection service is implied in Cairo University mechanization project at different sectors, including Education and Students Affairs Sector.
