
Cairo University President Gaber Nassar said that faculties should take actions towards printing Braille curriculum for students with visual impairments as well as creating audio compact disks (CDs) for them. The University President pointed out that Central Library – Cairo University accommodates a hall for the visual impairment service, and it is in charge of supervising the issue of providing curriculum written in Braille for those students.
General Coordinator of Disability Challengers Affairs – Cairo University Haidy Nady Asham said that the number of visually-impaired students at Cairo University according, to 2015/2016 statistics, reached 182 students.
Cairo University Council earlier approved the memorandum presented from Disability Challengers Unit – Caro University regarding taking actions towards printing Braille and audio CDs curriculum. This is according to Cairo University initiative of applying the principle of equality in rights and duties and the societal mingling of disability challengers with their colleagues at the university level.
