Cairo University President Follows Up Faculty of Law Student Exams Progress

Cairo University President Gaber Nassar made a tour, on Saturday, January 14, 2017, for first term exams at the exams halls compound at the university campus where Faculty of Law, fourth year students, perform the exam on Contracts. 


Prof. Dr. Gaber Nassar was accompanied by Faculty of Law Vice-Dean for Education and Students Affairs Abdel-Moneim Zamzam and some Professors of Law during his tour at Faculty of Law student exam halls. He was reassured that students are provided with comfort necessities to perform their exams. He talked with students on the new exams system ،،bubble sheet,, that was applied on some subjects of Faculty of Law this year as the rate of its application is nearly 50% of study subjects.


Cairo University President said that ،،bubble sheet exam system is applied in all faculties with varied ratios determined by the councils of faculties departments.,, He pointed out that،،it greatly contributed to minimizing cheating that usually happens in essay-form exams.,, Nassar explained to students that ،،Cairo University works on developing assessment systems through the studies and experiences of professors to pursue the interest of educational process and the university students in parallel with the development of curricula by faculties departments.,,


Faculty of Law Dean at Cairo University Omar Salem said that ،،first term exams for Faculty of Law students witnesses quietness to great extent, no acts that may hinder their progress took place, cheating cases were very few throughout exams and they were immediately investigated.,,


Faculty of Law Vice-Dean for Education and Students Affairs said that ،،the exams that were conducted with bubble sheet system for the faculty students did not witness any cheating case among students who are required to answer a model that contains 60 or 80 questions in two hours and the answer sheets are electronically corrected without interference of professors.,, He pointed out that ،،cheating cases appeared among students in essay-form exams but in very few cases in comparison to the last year because of the penalties of cheating that can possibly be depriving cheaters from one academic year or two.,, The Vice-Dean said that ،، first term exams results are expected to be announced for Faculty of Law students during the first week of second term in February, 2017.,,
