Cairo University Honors Scholars and Thinkers Winning State and University Awards in Science Day

 Cairo University holds the 15th Science Day ceremony on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. Many scholars, thinkers, and researchers winning state and university awards in different scientific fields in 2016 are honored during the ceremony.


The ceremony is held at Grand Celebration Hall, 4 p.m., sponsored by Cairo University President Mohamed Osman Elkhosht, and attended by the university vice-presidents, faculty deans, faculty members, students, some public figures, and men of the state.


Cairo University names the Science Day session this year after late Naguib Mahfouz to honor its pioneer graduates.


The Science Day ceremonials start with Cairo University lineup, and national anthem, followed by Holy Quran recital. The honorees word is delivered by Prof. Dr. Gamal Essmat winning Nile Award, then the word of Vice-Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Saeed Daw, followed by the word of Cairo University President Mohamed Osman Elkhosht. A documentary film is screened after that, then the honoring ceremonials of 42 thinkers, scholars, and researchers took place.



Cairo University finishes the arrangements of Science Day ceremony and prepares a souvenir book that includes the names of honorees and their curriculum vita.
