Competition Launched for Choosing Best Authored and Translated Book in Each Curriculum … EGP 1, 000, 000 to be Awarded to Winners
Cairo University announces a competition launched for university thinkers and professors and specialists to author and translate two books; one in entrepreneurship and the other in critical thinking to be taught as two study requirements for Cairo University students. This is approved by Cairo University Senate, chaired by Cairo University President Mohamed Osman Elkhosht, regarding aunching a major competition for preparing two curricula and teaching them once for students throughout their university study.
Cairo University President said that teaching the first book ،Entrepreneurship, is aimed at disseminating the culture of self-employment among youth and supporting national initiatives besides supporting the activities of entrepreneurship, innovation, and successfully carrying them forward. This helps graduates to head for self-employment and small projects, and contributes to the development of national economy without waiting for job.
Teaching the second book ،Critical Thinking, is aimed at forming critical understanding for students, imparting to them the ability to solve problems by ideas out of the box, and providing them with search and fact-checking skills.
Elkhosht added that the date of allowing the opportunity of applying to the competition and the duration determined for experts and specialists concerned in application will be announced to prepare any of the curricula or both.
EGP 1, 000, 000 awards are allocated for the first three places winning as the best authored book. The first three places winning as the best translated book in the competition will also be awarded
EGP 1, 000, 000. Elkhosht pointed out that a guidebook will be prepared for authors and announced by a specialized committee. He added that the two curricula will be taught for students within the framework of developing their skills.
