Cairo University Prepared to Start Second Term on Saturday February 3

Cairo University faculties finished the arrangements of second term for the academic year 2017/2018 on Saturday, February 3, 2018, after mid-year vacation.


Cairo University President Mohamed Osman Elkhosht urges faculties to announce study schedules of second term curriculum and regularize lectures from first day of second term. He also urges all faculties to prepare effective programs for student activities and announce them to students. Professors are also urged to attend and be close to students as well as operationalize cultural season plan at every faculty.


Elkhosht said that Cairo University Administration revises medical clinics at some faculties and provides physician and nurse to every clinic. The administration revises Cairo University hostels preparations and finishes maintenance works conducted during vacation. Problem-solving question will be implemented starting from second term exams with 5% of exams questions. It is aimed at establishing ideological and mental student abilities and the ability to make decisions.


Cairo University President pointed out that the university also finished campus safety and protection works plan regarding the entry of individuals and cars to university campus, increasing administrative security personnel at gates, surveillance cameras maintenance, and assuring elevators safety.


Cairo University President stresses banning partisan work inside the university pointing out that there is no discrimination in university being home for Egyptians and a beacon for political awareness which exceeds all conflicts. He encourages all to participate in democracy and head at ballot boxes to vote in presidential elections.


Elkhosht added that Cairo University continues its cultural artistic season and cultural salon by the beginning of second term with a group of ideological meetings and seminars and artistic parties. He announces the details of cultural artistic season and cultural salon for Cairo University during second term. The cultural artistic season includes open ideological, scientific, and artistic seminars and lectures that discuss most current Egyptian issues in participation with thinkers, senior writers, and professors, besides artistic activities. Cultural salon hosts the journalist and writer Hamdi Rezk in a panel discussion on Kiralayson fi Mahabbat Al-Aqbat (Kiralayson in the Love of the Copts) at Ahmed Lotfy Elsayed Hall Cairo University on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at 2 p.m. Former Minister of Religious Endowments Mahmoud Hamdi Zakzouk and Father Rafik Greish participate in the discussion.


Open dialog with Media Professional Tamer Amin is held as one of the cultural artistic season and Cairo University cultural salon activities on Media, Education, and Phase Challenges at Ahmed Lotfy Elsayed Hall, on Thursday, February 22, at 1 p.m.
