• The emergence of CU in 1908 was a dream that renowned Egyptian thinkers and philosophers had for a
             long time. For some time, social thinkers called for the establishment of an Egyptian University that
             would become a beacon for liberal thought and would lay groundwork for a comprehensive academic
             revival in all fields of knowledge.
